Henry Bergh organized the American SPCA in New York. SPCA is the first humane society to be established in North America

Using animal's to test medication, makeup, etc became very popular the anti-vivisection group tried to fight against it but was over thrown and started working on wild life more
1952-1973
The American Humane socitey started protecting young kids and animals. Jane Goodall with chimpanzees, Dian Fossey with gorillas, and Shirley McGreal formed the International Primate Protection League helped organizations protect wildlife however Hollywood still used animal's in motion pictures. But Spira (a philosopher) got rid of animal experimentation at the American Museum of Natural History.
1980

The humane right's started to focus there attention more on animals and finally people really started to talk about experimentation on animals, wearing fur, factory farming, and hunting, helping animal's all over the world. Environmental groups like Greenpeace and the Sea Shepherd Society showed how to draw attention to marine mammals and other endangered species.

Big cosmetics companies like Avon and Revlon found diffrent alterniatves then testing on animal's.
Current
animal experimentation, farm animals, hunting, zoos and circuses, fur, and animal testing are still being fought for.

A law against bull bating
Bull's were not allowed to be killed unless they were killed by a dog which lead to many family's not being able to eat
A law was passed that states no cruelty to large domestic animals such as horses and cattle.

-Studies show that most of the time when someone hurt's there animal it's to let out agression. Therefore animal abusers might not be able to let out agression leading to someone else possibly being hurt

-More people would be arested or ticketed
-Dog's may be taken away from homes and would have to stay in shelters.

-More animal's will be saved and helped
-More way's to help animal's will come out

-Everyone will be more healthy because there will not be as much GMO's and Probiotic.

-Farm's will not make as much money but our meat's will be less prosed bring more energy and health but less food
-Less workers will be needed
